Learn how to enable and use the Undo Send feature in New Outlook to recall sent emails and avoid mistakes. Follow our step-by-step guide
Have you ever pressed the send button on an email and suddenly realised that you went too soon? Would you like to be able to recall that message?
With New Outlook we now have an option to set a delay on the sending which then allows you to Undo the Send within the time frame you set.
Here is how to do it.
First you will need to access Outlook Settings. Click the cog in the top right of the menu bar and then go to Email on the left. Chose Compose and reply and then scroll down until you see Undo Send.
Set the slider to the number of seconds you wish to delay the send and then click Save at the bottom.
Now when you next send an email you will see the option to Undo at the bottom of the window.
To recall the message before it even goes, click Undo.
The message then becomes a draft so that you can amend it or delete it all together.
Will you use this? Let me know in the comments.
